       SELF ACTUATING NOZZLE

The Self Actuating Nozzle has a unique stainless steel spring arrangement.

This nozzle works with gas assist pressures up to 8,500 PSI. It may be used with Gas Assist, Conventional Molding or Structural Foam applications.
Requires 400 lbs. pressure to open
Requires no hydraulics or pneumatics
Contains no seals to wear
Screws into standard barrel thread – 1 3/4” – 8
May be used with stiff and glass filled materials
May be installed on small tonnage machines
Uses standard nozzle heater bands

 

    Special sizes, tip openings, threads and angles may be     customized to fit your Injection molding needs.

Nozzle Function:

The resin injection pressure opens the valve and the resin flows freely through the nozzle without shearing. When the injection pressure is removed, the valve closes and seats.

However, with gas assist, gas pressure is applied and further seats the valve, forcing the resin into the mold, preventing gas from entering the injection barrel.
