 The new drool proof nozzle eliminates excess drooling in any injection molding or structural foam process.
How it works – This nozzle was designed to replace costly shut off valves which require hydraulics or air to operate. It is simply mechanical. No hoses or wiring necessary to use. Thread it on and go! The Drool Eliminator uses a very heavy spring loaded shut off mechanism to absolutely prevent front end drooling. In process, the nozzle comes forward and forces the spring to contract, opening the passage way for material. After the material injection is complete, the machine sprue breaks approximately ½” and positively shuts off. The next shot is simply a repeat of this process. The nozzle comes with a special tool for opening the valve for purging the barrel. After completing the purge, simply rotate the opening tool with a spanner wrench and you are ready to go!
The Drool Eliminator is 6” long and 2 1/2” dia. It comes standard with 1 ¾” x 8 male threads, but may be ordered with any thread size dimension. It requires less than 500 lbs. force to open so even electric machines can utilize this device.
